It is surrounded by the Vindhyas and the Aravali range. The herbivorous population includes chital, sambar, blue bull and chinkara. The sambar deer, the largest of all Asiatic deer, is the pride of the park. Wild boars and langurs are a common sight. Among the reptiles, crocodiles can be seen basking in the sun near the lakes. The tiger is the biggest attraction of this park in the country for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. Day 01: Delhi - Ranthambore(by train) 2060 Kota Janshatabdi 13:10 / 18:00 hrs Reporting school grounds at sharp 10:30 hrs Departure for H Nizamuddin rly. stn. at sharp 11:00 hrs to board the train for Sawai Madhopur Arrive Sawai Madhopur in the evening at 17:58 hrs and transfer to Hotel “Raj Palace” or similar Evening watch a documentry film/slide show on “Wildlife in Ranthambore” Bonfire, dinner and overnight at hotel (L- packed, D) Day 02: In Ranthambore Post breakfast visit Ranthambore Fort – a 17th century fort strategically located on a hillock. The fort has many palaces built by various Rajput rulers and is one of the finest forts of Rajasthan. A guide will brief you about the history of the fort Return to the hotel for lunch Afternoon proceed on an exhilarzation game drive into the Ranthambore National Park – just an ideal time to be inside the forest when the wildlife start moving. A beautiful park, very different from the other National Parks in India. Two beautiful lakes surround the park and most of the wildlife can be found near them. Evening – Cultural Folk Dance Programme around the bonfire Dinner & overnight at hotel (B, L, D) Day 03: Excursion to Mansarovar Lake Ranthambore – Delhi (by train) 9019 Dehradun Express 21:25 / 06:00 hrs Early morning nature walk in the surrounding areas Post breakfast half day excursion to Mansarovar Lake – one hours drive from the resort takes you the lake a pretty sight with ample of opportunities for Bird watching Lunch in hotel Post lunch time at leisure Late afternoon walk to see some Rajasthani villages – the area known for red stone. The villages give a complete glimpse of the Rajput lifestyle and hardship of living Evening depart Ranthambore National Park for Sawai Madhopur rly. stn. in time to catch an overnight train to Delhi at 21:45 (B, L, D) Day 04: Arrive Delhi at 06:00 hrs Arrive New Delhi rly. stn. early morning at 06:00 hrs and transfer to school Your tour ends with arrival at school grounds
