GUJARAT TEXTILE TOUR
In India, Gujarat is the major centre of the finest handiwork. The Kutch region of Gujarat is very popular for their tremendous embroideries made in various techniques those are done by Hindu, migrants from Sindh (Now in Pakistan) & Muslims. There few pastoral women group are involved in embroidery work. With Gujarat Bandhani tie-and-dye work is quite synonymous - this manufactures excellent handloom wicker textiles and fabrics that are block-printed. Day 01: Arrive Ahmedabad
Upon arrival meet & greet and escorted to your Hotel. Ahmedabad is a main hub of the contemporary and traditional textiles. Few crafts flourish at Ahmedabad as block-printing and the narrative cloth paintings of Mata-Ni-Pachedi.

Day 02: Ahmedabad
Morning after breakfast proceed for a sightseeing visiting specialized textile museum of India ‘Calico Museum’. Calico Museum has the rich collection of textile swatches of Indian origins which are found at famous sites of archaeological in Egypt, Sarees of silk from the throughout India, the silk sarongs of double-ikat prepared at Patan especially for the markets of Indonesian, curtains & chintz completed during the Dutch, Portuguese & British colonial reign at Gujarat, Punjab’s floral embroidery, famous Kashmiri shawls, tie-and-dye work of 18th of century, opulently embroidered tent of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan that palace is located very close, Rajasthan’s royal attires, manuscripts & paintings on the cloths, spiritual description in the paintings of cloths known as Kalamkari & Pichwai. Later the few other museums of Ahmedabad based on folk art collection.

Day 03: Ahmedabad - Gondal
Morning after breakfast check out from the Hotel and drive to princely place Gondal. Gondal has considerable significance and prosperity. On arrival check in at the Hotel.
Later proceed for a sightseeing tour of 1740 AD Naulakha Palace to see the superb collection of former rulers as textiles, beadwork, toys painted by hands, crafts of silver, brassware & the excellent carvings. Also visit the place that promotes the weaving in Gondal and few historic buildings. In the evening visit Khadi Plaza – it is one of the main centers in Gujarat of handloom weaving.

Day 04: Gondal – Jetpur – Junagadh - Gondal
Morning after breakfast proceed for a day excursion to Jetpur famous for the workshops of block and screen printings and a centre of yarn-dyeing. Proceed further to Junagadh to visit the carpets of gem-encrusted, the Nawab’s tapestry in the museum and wardrobes. Historical Junagadh is known for its 03rd of century (BC) Buddhist ruins, medieval palace, complexes of tomb and the forts.

Day 05: Gondal – Rajkot - Bhuj
Morning after breakfast check out from the Hotel and dive to Bhuj en route visiting Watson Museum at Rajkot, to see the skills of the craftsmanship in Gujarat and Rashtriya Shala. On arrival check in at the Hotel. Balance day free to relax.

Day 06: Bhuj
Morning after breakfast proceed to visit villages near Bhuj which are famous for its characteristic embroidery methods and see the handiwork of the villagers like weaving and the printing forms as block & Rogan.

Day 07: Bhuj - Mandvi
Morning after breakfast check out from the Hoteland drive to Mandvi. On arrival check in at the Hotel. Afternoon proceed for a sightseeing tour of the yard of the dhow-building to visit the boat of ocean worthy made by the hands.

Day 08: Mandvi
Morning after breakfast proceed for a tour to the villages near by Mandvi, famous for the charming houses known as Rabari and Bhungas embroidery.

Day 09: Mandvi - Wadhwan
Morning after breakfast check out from the Hotel and drive to Wadhwan. Wadhwan is a famous place for tie-n-dye work of Bandhani, metal crafts & weaving and is also a historical town surrounded by walls. On arrival check in at the Hotel. Balance day free to relax.

Day 10: Wadhwan - Dasada
Morning after breakfast check out from the Hotel and proceed for a short orientation tour of Wadhwan, later drive to Dasada – a home of endangered Asiatic wild ass. Arrive Dasada, on arrival check in at the Hotel. Later proceed to visit and see the women of Rabari working on distinctive embroideries.
In the evening enjoy a jeep safari through the Little Rann of Kutch to see the rich wildlife.

Day 11: Dasada – Patan – Modhera - Dasada
Early morning enjoy one more jeep safari in the wild ass sanctuary. Later proceed for a day excursion to Patan to see the working Salvis on Patola. Patola is considered as one of the finest silk textiles. Also watch the woven with the use of technique double-ikat. Take a tour of 11th of century’s Sun Temple at Modhera. Modhera Sun Temple is one of the most excellent examples of Hindu’s temple architecture at western India.

Day 12: Dasada – Ahmedabad (Departure)
In time transfer to Ahmedabad airport to connect flight to the onward destination.
